Athey Private Travel Management (APTM) is an independent corporate travel consultancy serving organisations across the UK and Ireland. APTM helps businesses that already use a travel provider but have no dedicated internal person overseeing spend, supplier performance or travel policy.
Clients work directly with founder Alan Athey, who brings more than 30 years of corporate travel experience. Because APTM is fully independent of travel management companies and booking platforms, the advice clients receive is impartial and focused entirely on their needs.
APTM is now looking for experienced B2B sales agents to help reach more of the mid-sized organisations that would benefit from this service.

APTM offers two distinct services, each addressing a specific gap that mid-sized organisations commonly face with their business travel arrangements.
Travel Programme Evaluation (£8,000-£15,000 per project). A standalone, independent review of how a company manages its business travel. The evaluation covers spend, supplier performance, travel policy and the traveller experience, with practical recommendations for improvement. It is a natural conversation-starter when a client is approaching a supplier renewal, reviewing its travel budget or dealing with recurring service issues.
Fractional Travel Management (£500-£3,000 per month). Ongoing, part-time travel management for organisations that need someone to oversee suppliers, monitor spend and reporting, and put improvements into practice. Clients can engage this service directly or following a Travel Programme Evaluation.
When you qualify an opportunity, Alan leads the discovery conversation, recommends the appropriate service, prepares the proposal and closes the engagement. Your role is focused on identifying target accounts, making contact and surfacing genuine need.
Alan provides a personal onboarding session covering both services, typical buyers and how to qualify prospects. He remains available throughout and leads every discovery and proposal himself.
Earn a £250 bonus once your first new client pays £2,500 in fees (excluding VAT), on top of your standard commission.
You work remotely and set your own schedule across agreed sectors and accounts in the UK and Ireland. Once you qualify an opportunity, Alan takes it from there.
APTM targets mid-sized organisations across the UK and Ireland that have regular business travel but no dedicated travel manager. The initial focus is on:
The key contacts are Finance Directors, COOs, CAOs, Heads of Procurement and Operations Directors who carry responsibility for travel spend or supplier performance. A strong prospect is likely to already use a travel management company, with no single internal owner of the travel programme.
Good triggers for opening a conversation include an upcoming supplier renewal, a budget review cycle, poor visibility of travel spend or persistent service issues. Some buyers want an independent evaluation before deciding what to change; others already know they need ongoing support.
You are an independent B2B sales agent with a proven track record of generating new business for consultancy or outsourced services. You are comfortable picking up the phone, writing tailored outreach emails and following up consistently without a paid lead-generation budget behind you.
Your job is to identify target accounts, qualify opportunities by finding out who owns the travel programme, what problem they need to solve and when they are ready to act, then hand a warm, qualified prospect to Alan. He handles discovery, pricing and proposals. You focus on what you do best: opening doors with senior buyers.
This opportunity fits neatly alongside complementary services you may already sell to the same buyers in professional services, pharma or financial services. With project fees of £8,000-£15,000 and monthly retained work ranging from £500 to £3,000, the pipeline value builds quickly once you establish the right conversations.
