Sales Agent Opportunities with Hart Biologicals – Healthcare Sector

Hart Biologicals are looking for sales agents for their Thrombi Stat MC1, a single channel INR test system for whole blood and plasma INR calculation. The results of the test are used to control dosing of a blood thinner, warfarin, which maintains satisfactory blood flow around the body in patients needing anticoagulation support.

Agents will be working with an experienced team that has a proven range of products used in the diagnosis and treatment of many coagulation disorders of the blood. Hart Biologicals was founded in 2002 with the aim of focusing on the development and manufacture of products aimed at ‘making a difference’ to 21st century healthcare. Our state-of-the-art, 16,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility is located in the North East of England in Hartlepool.

The Product Agents Will Be Selling

The Thrombi Stat MC1 is a single channel INR test system for whole blood and plasma INR calculation – an ideal system for cost-effective near-patient INR testing in GP surgeries and community pharmacies providing anti-coagulation services.

The advantage of the Thrombi Stat MC1 is that it can be moved successfully outside hospital laboratories and used in health centres based in the community. It uses a finger prick of blood rather than a tube to collect samples, which is common practice in community healthcare settings.

Agents will have a key advantage over competitors in the marketplace, the Thrombi Stat MC1 test system offers significant cost savings to users compared to our competitors. The savings can run into tens of thousands of pounds. This is the main selling-point and has the benefit of saving the NHS substantial amounts of money.

The Target Market

The target market for sales agents to approach is: GP surgeries, pharmacies, health centres and hospital outpatient clinics.

In the UK there are around 8,000 hospital and community sites. Approx. half of these sites run services which could use our product giving sales agents a huge potential market and the opportunity to maximise rewards.

The Ideal Sales Agents

We are looking for sales agents to approach NHS and private healthcare facilities. Ideally you will have experience of selling to the healthcare markets and an understanding of the purchasing process.

A network of contacts and customers in decision making positions within the target market will be ideal for this role.

Agents are expected to be personable, keen individuals with the drive to succeed, and able to sell to all levels in the healthcare sector.

You must be an excellent communicator, both written and verbal, as agents will be using telephone, email, and face to face visits during the sales process.

Full office support and training are available together with a 3 month introductory subsistence programme.

A focussed telemarketing campaign will make target groups aware of the product to help gain market access.

A generous ongoing commission scheme of 30% will reward initial and ongoing revenues, allowing sales agents to build a lucrative income stream.

A medical or scientific background is not required, relevant sales experience is more important.
