Products

We are looking for independent agents to introduce Japanese matcha and hojicha to established UK trade buyers.

Our product offering includes:

  • Japanese matcha for cafés, matcha lattes and foodservice applications.
  • Matcha suitable for distributors, retailers and food manufacturers.
  • Japanese hojicha and roasted tea products.
  • Bulk and private-label supply options, subject to product specifications and availability.
  • Retail-ready packaging options, including 100g pouches, depending on the selected product.

FHM handles sourcing and commercial coordination, with product selection, pricing, documentation, minimum quantities and delivery terms confirmed for each opportunity.

We are particularly interested in agents who can develop meaningful, repeat B2B purchasing relationships rather than one-off consumer sales.

Benefits

  • Excellent commission terms

We offer an attractive 15% commission on the invoiced value of matcha products sold to eligible customers introduced by the agent, excluding taxes and logistics costs. Commission is payable after FHM receives cleared customer payment. For illustration, a 100 kg order at €100/kg would generate €1,500 in commission. Actual earnings depend on confirmed orders, sales prices and individually agreed partnership terms. Our aim is to build long-term commercial relationships with UK importers, distributors and foodservice buyers.

  • Sales and marketing support

FHM supports its sales partners with product information, MATCHA NOA marketing materials, indicative wholesale pricing and sourcing expertise. We coordinate product selection, supplier negotiations, quotations, sampling arrangements and export logistics from Japan. Our agents can focus on introducing qualified buyers and developing commercial relationships while FHM handles Japan-side operations. Product samples and additional sales materials can be arranged on a case-by-case basis.

  • Freedom & flexibility

This is an independent, commission-based sales partnership, not an employed position. Agents can work remotely, manage their own schedules and develop opportunities through their existing professional networks. We welcome established independent agents who already represent complementary food and beverage products. Territories, customer coverage and other commercial terms will be agreed individually. No upfront stock purchase is required.

Target market

Our primary target market is the United Kingdom, with a focus on established businesses that purchase food and beverage products for distribution, resale or commercial use.

Priority customer segments:

  • Food and beverage importers
  • Wholesale food distributors
  • Foodservice and HoReCa distributors
  • Specialty and Asian food wholesalers
  • Supermarket and grocery retail suppliers
  • Café and restaurant chains
  • Beverage and food manufacturers
  • Private-label and retail brand buyers

We are particularly interested in buyers with repeat purchasing potential and established distribution networks.

Our ideal sales agents already maintain professional relationships with purchasing managers, category buyers, wholesale distributors or foodservice decision-makers.

Ideal Profile

We are looking for experienced, independent UK sales agents or food brokers who already have established B2B relationships within the food and beverage sector.

Ideal candidates have:

  • Existing contacts with food importers, distributors, grocery retailers or foodservice wholesalers.
  • Experience representing food, beverage, specialty food or imported product brands.
  • A proven ability to introduce products to relevant commercial buyers.
  • An independent, relationship-driven approach to business development.
  • Interest in building long-term, repeat-order opportunities.

Why partner with FHM?

15% sales commission: We offer a 15% commission on invoiced matcha product value, excluding taxes and logistics, payable after FHM receives cleared payment from the customer.

Japanese sourcing support: FHM handles Japanese supplier sourcing, product coordination, quotations and export arrangements.

Flexible collaboration: Independent agents can develop opportunities through their existing professional networks without joining FHM as employees.

Long-term potential: We are particularly interested in building repeat purchasing relationships with importers and distributors.

We are also open to discussing other Japanese product categories where an agent identifies genuine commercial demand.

Commission eligibility, customer attribution, repeat orders and other partnership terms would be agreed in writing before commencing a formal engagement.
