Humanists started out in 1896, and since then we’ve always been a growing movement at the forefront of social change. Today we’re trusted by over 120,000 members and supporters and over 70 local and special interest affiliates to promote humanism.
We put humanism into practice through effective campaigning and services, supporting lasting change for happier, more fulfilling lives.
After being founded in 2015, Faith to Faithless joined Humanists UK in 2016. We stage regular panel discussion events and lectures across the UK as well as hosting apostate socials and peer support meetings.
We also provide training to frontline services and safeguarding professionals to help them understand the harmful consequences of particular cultural and religious practices.

Our Apostasy Awareness training has been developed to inform frontline services on apostasy and to support them with best practice. We have trained many organisations, including the Metropolitan Police. Local authorities, Police, social services, NHS workers, homeless shelters, teachers, university staff and charities are all encouraged to take our training.
For many years, apostates have been a hidden minority, and public service providers have had little understanding of the issues they face. Many organisations feel they lack the expertise to support ex-religious people who use their services, and want to develop their knowledge of the issues these people face.
Our training covers:
• Awareness of the most common issues faced by apostates.
• Referrals to relevant organisations that can help apostates.
• Language and helpful / unhelpful ways to talk about leaving religion.
• Ways in which apostasy differs from some other forms of religious discrimination.
• Safeguarding implications specific to your practice.
We can provide an online 90 minutes introductory session. Or a half day or full day in house training for organisations. This can be personalised to the needs of the organisation.
Our policies are informed with the support of over 150 of the UK’s most prominent philosophers, scientists, and other thinkers and experts and we seek to advance them with the help of over 100 parliamentarians in membership of the All Party Parliamentary Humanist Group. We bring like-minded people together to make change happen, and we strive to be their voice in public debate, drawing on contemporary humanist thought and the worldwide humanist tradition.
The Sales Agent will receive 20% of the training booking fee.
Our Apostasy Awareness training has been presented to many organisations, including the Metropolitan Police. Local authorities, Police, social services, NHS workers, homeless shelters, teachers, university staff and charities are all encouraged to take our training. Our target audience is any organisation which supports individuals, with a particular focus on statutory services, support charities, and universities.
We are looking for an experienced Sales Agent, with a sympathy for Faith to Faitheless’s cause and a willingness to develop their understanding of this very unique service, in order to sell this training course.
Building customer relationships via email and over the phone, you’ll target statutory, voluntary and educational organisations to sell our 90 minute, half day or full day training, after gaining a commitment to book the training from the organisation you will then transfer the relationship to our Apostasy Support Development Officer (ASDO) who will confirm dates. In cases where a person with authority in an organisation would prefer to speak to a professional from our team before booking, you will be paid a qualified lead fee.
The ideal candidate will already hold experience in sales within these sectors and will preferably already have a contact list.
We are particularly interested in receiving applications from people who have left a high control religion.
