To start with,  in the UK, we are leading with the Pillows.

The pillows have been through clinical trials, NHS approved and being used by a very small number of UK NHS hospitals.    Although the pillows have sold in large numbers in Germany and USA, there has been a barrier to mass sales in the UK because of the price which is around £36 per pillow versus a traditional pillow which is around £7.  We have created a lease purchasing arrangement which means the pillows can now be purchased at 50% less than the cost of current pillows. So, as well as the very significant reductions in infections and all the benefits that comes with that, there is a huge selling point of cost savings.

A quick calculation is:

Cost of current pillows – £7 each plus £2 to dispose of them.

Average Lifespan = 6 weeks  (they are disposed of as soon as they become contaminated with fluids or come into contact with infections)

Therefore cost over 4 years = 35 pillows @ £7 + 35 x Disposal @ £2 = £315

Cost of MySleepAngel Pillow = £7 per quarter

Average Lifespan = 4 – 5 years

Therefore cost over 4 years = £112

Each bed currently has 2 – 3 pillows.   MySleepAngel pillows do not lose their form so only 1-2 pillows per bed are needed – a reduction of 1/3 versus current.

Scenario:

Hospital has 1000 beds

Current Pillows= 3000 pillows.  Cost over 4 years = £315 x 3000 = £945000

MySleepAngel Pillows= 2000 pillows.  Cost over 4 years = £112 x 2000 = £224000
