Pop Up Comedy Shop delivers stand-up comedy shows with comedians from television for corporate events, charity fundraisers and ticketed shows across the UK. Every show hires three comedians from British television and provides sound and lighting to ensure a top-quality performance.
We seek experienced sales agents to help us expand our reach and introduce our entertainment solution to venues nationwide.
We provide stand-up comedy shows in and around London. Currently, we deliver shows for 18 venues in and around Surrey, Kent and Bournemouth. We organise regular stand-up comedy shows in golf clubs, tennis clubs, hotels, wedding barns, pubs and a riverboat on The Thames.

We have a list of venues to call. We target venues that have a capacity for over 100 people (seated). Many of the venues we call already organise live music events with tribute bands, murder mystery events, wine tastings, weddings and corporate events. Very few (know how to) organise comedy.
This is where we come in.
We charge a flat rate and provide a show with three comedians from television, as well as a tech person with sound and lighting. Once an event is booked, we also provide marketing materials: press photos and promotional videos of each of the three comedians, an event description for their ticket link or Facebook page, as well as a 45min strategy call to discuss the best way to sell tickets to comedy shows…
This already works well… I just don’t have the time to call through the remaining list, as lots of bookings come in and I have to do the admin, as well.
I need help with the outreach. You follow a script and then book the same people into my diary for two weeks after your conversation.
It’s fairly straightforward. Ongoing sales support will be provided.
Our comedy shows are a fresh and exciting alternative to standard corporate entertainment. With peak booking seasons for events like Christmas parties, now is the ideal time to tap into this market.
Earn 15% commission on every sale for 12 months after your client's first purchase. Each show costs between £1,200 + VAT and £1,450 + VAT. Clients that are successful with their ticket sales organise one show every two months. Six months per year = £8,700 + VAT. 15% of sum = £1,305 + VAT.
We have a list of prospects to call and a working sales script. There will be ongoing support to ensure you can convert these leads into sales effectively.
We target venues that have a capacity for over 100 people (seated). Many of the venues we call already organise live music events with tribute bands, murder mystery events, wine tastings, weddings and corporate events. Very few (know how to) organise comedy.
We target venues in areas in which the residents are wealthy, retired and bored. (Usually, places that people have retired to after working in London.)
Some venues only organise weddings and private functions.
We are not paying for room hire.
We need the venue to pay us to provide the show. Then, they are responsible for selling their own tickets.
We don’t sell the tickets – because we have no interest in storing data of their client base.
We can assist and advise on the right strategy to sell tickets. The actual selling of the tickets will need to be done by the venue itself.
