The SARO20’ Saferoom – Versatility and Safety for Modern Residences

The SARO20’ is a 14,4 sqm saferoom option at your residence. In peacetime it can be used as a storage room, workshop, wine cellar or even as a panic room. It will not just keep you safe but also increase the value of your property, granting you a proper financial turn-around, in case of a property sale.

The Saferoom module can be placed as a stand-alone project in your garden or your drive-way and is ideally suited for self-installation. All it requires, is to be dug in and to be encased in 25-30cm of water-proof, steel-reinforced concrete.

  • All of the preinstalled equipment, including our delivered outfit for your private shelter, is Saferoom-certified in compliance with Swizz Civil Defense regulations and completely maintenance free.
  • When placing the SARO20’ module under a building, it is of vital importance to establish a free-zone for the escape hatch and ventilation pipes. This area needs to be protected from any possible debris to ensure the functionality of the emergency exit and unhindered airflow for proper ventilation.
  • When installed in driveways, additional I-Beams should be used on top of the Saferoom to ensure the additional stability for heavy vehicle traffic.

SAROsystems AS can also supply ventilation systems and equipment for existing, outdated Saferooms that require upgrading to make them operational again.
