This role involves generating interest in residential solar energy solutions on behalf of Helios Resource. As a lead generator, you will be the first point of contact for homeowners, starting conversations, building rapport, and identifying households that could benefit from a solar energy consultation.
Solar energy is one of the most in-demand home improvements in the UK right now, driven by rising energy costs and growing awareness of sustainability. Your job is to find the right households, qualify them, and hand them over to the sales team.
This is not a hard-selling role. There are no pressure tactics. The focus is on genuine engagement and quality lead generation.
You will be representing a product homeowners are actively seeking out. Rising energy costs and growing sustainability awareness mean quality conversations are easier to start than ever.
There is no ceiling on what you can earn. Your income reflects your effort, and the more quality leads you generate, the more you make.
Training is led by a sales professional with 15 years of experience. You will learn the psychology and theory behind effective selling, and these are skills that extend well beyond door-knocking and stay with you wherever your sales work takes you.
A weekly travel contribution of £200 is available to support petrol and travel costs while you establish yourself in your territory. This is linked to meetings sat and paid weekly, alongside all commission payments.
Solar customers often know other homeowners who are considering ways to reduce energy costs. Helios Resource would generally expect each completed deal to generate another deal through referral over a 12-month period, and agents are paid on this referral business too.
You will be working with homeowners across a defined territory in and around London and Surrey. The coverage area includes:
Territories are allocated based on location, performance, and business requirements. The target audience is homeowners who may be suitable candidates for solar energy, typically owner-occupiers in residential properties within the above areas.
Helios Resource values attitude above all else. You do not need a background in solar or even in sales. If you are coachable, resilient, and willing to put in the effort, the training and support will be there for you.
You will thrive in this role if you are:
Access to a car is strongly preferred, as agents may be working across different locations during the week. It is not essential, and Helios Resource already has successful people working without a car, but agents without their own transport should be comfortable with longer days and additional travel planning.
This position suits experienced canvassers and sales professionals, but also those who are completely new to the field and simply want to build a solid foundation in professional selling. The training programme is substantial and this is a genuine development opportunity, not a revolving door.
