We are a family run business based in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. The three of us all play a part: Kieren and Steph run the business with the support of our amazing colleagues
Kieren set up the business in 2019 after falling in love with the science of making alcohol. It had always been a dream to run his own business. After a number of months of getting the correct licences and insurances, we were able to sell our first bottle of liqueur in December 2019 at the Thainstone Christmas market.
Kieren’s background is in retail so although he had sold large volumes of alcohol, there were many things to learn. Now the business has grown to the level that we have a number of brand Ambassador, colleagues in the production team and online/admin team.
Creating products that are pure has always been our clear vision. From the moment we began, the key to our success has been using the highest premium gin/vodka and the best quality fruit we can source. It is with pride that we produce liqueurs with no chemicals, additives, preservatives or nasties. Absolutely packed full of flavour, we are confident, in a busy marketplace, that the purity, quality and flavour of our liqueurs speak for themselves and ensure our customers continue to fall in love with them.

This is a commission only based contract, the more you sell the more you make. We give a massive 31% of the sale value including VAT as commission to direct to customer sales.
There are two aspects to the Brand Ambassador role. One being direct to customer sales, the other being trade sales. The successful applicant may chose to undertake either, or both aspects of the Brand Ambassador role, dependent on discussions with Ellon Spirits to determine what is right for both the applicant and the business.
Direct to Customer Sales
As Brand Ambassador representing Ellon Spirits, you will be responsible for developing the business and managing sales at public events. (This role can be stand alone or combined with the trade sales role).
The role entails identifying opportunities and booking events where Ellon Spirit products can be sold, for example; Farmers Markets, Craft Markets, Food Events and Highland Shows.
Whilst initiative would be desirable, the team at Ellon Spirits will offer their experience where necessary to support existing, and develop new, business opportunities.
Please be aware this role involves working in all weather conditions as many events are held outside. Furthermore, from time to time some events are unavoidably cancelled due to extreme weather.
You will be required to apply for an Occasional Licence to sell alcohol products at each event. Consideration must be given to the specific requirements of each event and a minimum of 4 weeks must be allowed for licence approval.
Your attendance will be required at all booked events, where you are responsible for representing the brand. Most events will require set up of a stand, gazebo or table (not all). You must ensure that the correct paperwork is displayed at all times, including ‘Licence and Think 25 policy, Section 110’.
You will be responsible for sales at all direct to customer events, selling Ellon Spirits products at the current recommended retail price. (Current RRP of Ellon Spirits is £22 per bottle). High levels of customer service and engagement skills are essential to achieving success within this role.
During the course of events you will be able to offer product samples (10ml) to potential customers and utilise your knowledge and passion of the brand to inform customers of how best to accompany and serve each product.
At the end of the each event you will be responsible for packing down and ensuring you leave the area as found. Including removal and appropriate disposal of any rubbish and recycling.
Stock control will be carried out in collaboration with Ellon Spirits. You will be responsible for contacting Ellon Spirits directly regarding stock management in advance of your events and post event, taking into consideration stock volumes, collection and/or delivery requirements and timescales.
Post event, stock control must be completed, including recording of sales and post event stock levels. Ellon Spirits will then invoice the Brand Ambassador for products sold. (Payment to Ellon Spirits is required within 7 days of invoice receipt.) Free stock holding is limited, however charges can be discussed on an ongoing basis. Stock must be stores in a secure location and at room temperature (Inside). Any damage/loss to stock you will be invoiced
As Brand Ambassador representing Ellon Spirits, you will be responsible for developing the business, managing accounts and managing trade sales, including but not limited to Bars, Restaurants and Independent Stockists. (This role can be stand alone or combined with the direct to customer sales role).
Management of accounts will include developing business opportunities with new stockists and separately managing sales with existing stockists.
As Brand Ambassador you will be responsible for identifying new sales opportunities for Ellon Spirits products. You will be highly motivated to contact potential stockists and use your passion and brand knowledge to secure positioning for the brand within trade establishments, such as bars, restaurants and independent shops.
You will be designated key accounts and establishments within a given area and expected to maximise opportunities within these accounts. Upon discussion with the team at Ellon Spirits, there is potential to expand your key area upon target achievement. You will be given tools to make this easier, including product literature and cocktail lists.
You will also be responsible for managing accounts with existing stockists. Ellon Spirits will provide you with details of relevant existing stockists within your designated area. You will be required to maintain relationships, contacting trades on a monthly basis to ensure needs are met and stock replenished.
