Piet Hein 16Dec 1905-17 April 1996 was a Danish Polymath(mathematician, Inventor, Designer, Author & Poet).Many of his timeless designs dates back to 1930ies & 40ies and he invented the superellipse which became the hallmark of modern Scandinavian architecture. He designed and marketed the superegg and homeware products based on the superellipse. He also invented several games including SOMA Cube (1933) and Con-Tac- Tix(1941).

SAY THE NAME

Say O is the name of a company and their chair collection in which have a distinctive graphic statement. Not only do the chairs have a powerful O factor – thanks to their simple, stylish Scandinavian design, they also have the inherent potential to become a classic.

The name, Say O also indicate the vision of the designer – that the chairs look like a mouth saying O

The art of omission often provides new sculptural qualities. Just as a pause in a story brings the spoken word into perspective, the absence of material in a work of art or a design adds new expressive dimensions to the whole.

The chair, which is manufactured in a revolutionary 3D veneer with a strict, organic styling, is a natural extension of the Scandinavian design tradition – a tradition where form and function are equal factors and where aesthetics and necessity form a higher synthesis.

The main focus is on ergonomics and comfort, and despite its slim shell of just 6.5 mm, the Say O chair is able to withstand all strength tests with optimal results. This is thanks to the 3D veneer being pressed extremely hard by means of a costly, patented techno- logy, giving the designers the chance to go right to the limit in terms of what can normal- ly be achieved with wood.

Piet Hein we are looking to sell into homeware national and local retailers, individual homeware/gift boutiques and interior designers architects and the furniture contract market who may have a particular interest in the Piet Hein Lights.

SAYO we are looking to sell into relevant furniture retailers, architects, interior design and furniture contract market.

Ideal Profile

We are looking for candidates who have several years experience in selling into the sectors mentioned and relevant network of contacts.

We are offering you the opportunity to be part of this exciting journey to introduce two new Danish brands into the UK market which only you can sell, you will not be competing with any other sales channels such as distributors as we have the sole rights to sell these brands in the UK.

We will provide you with relevant marketing information and a selection of demo products. We are looking for national coverage and are happy to consider dividing up the retail and contract sectors as well as we would also consider offering territory and/or key account exclusivity if appropriate.
