CyberScale is a Cyber Security Consultancy offering pragmatic IT Security and Data Protection for businesses, charities and organisations throughout the UK.
At CyberScale, we understand security. We also understand that cybersecurity and data protection can be confusing and hard to keep up with, especially without dedicated staff. We’ll translate threats and regulations into what’s relevant to your business, and explain everything in a clear, non-technical way.
Cyber Security is complex – our job is to make it simple, so you can concentrate on running your business.
Our core services are split between Consultancy and Training.
Our consultancy services cover:
Security Assessments – Identify the risks to your business, find gaps in your current security, and identify the measures you need to keep your business and your clients’ data secure. Presented and explained in a clear, easy to follow security road-map, a cyber security assessment will empower you with the information you need to remain one step ahead.
Remote Working Security – As more businesses embrace home and remote working options for their teams on a more permanent basis, it is imperative that new cyber and information security risks are fully understood, accounted for and appropriately managed.
Security Policies – CyberScale are experienced in guiding businesses through the sometimes daunting task of ensuring all required and relevant cyber security policies are in place without unnecessary disruption to your business.
Incident Response Planning – Businesses are becoming increasingly aware of the organisational risks and potential for financial loss and reputational damage posed by cyber-attacks. Even with the best preventative measures in place risk of compromises and potential data breaches remains and therefore a formalised security Incident Response Plan is a key tool to improve resilience. This is where CyberScale can help your business be prepared.
Cyber Essentials – Gaining Cyber essentials certification, backed by the National Cyber Security Centre, is a great way of ensuring that your organisation has the basic technical Cyber Security measure in place, and demonstrating to your clients that you are taking care of their data.
ISO 27001 – Implementing ISO 27001 will demonstrate to your clients that you take information security seriously and your business is taking appropriate steps to identify, reduce and manage risks effectively.
Virtual CISO – Within many organisations, a gap exists between Senior Management and IT, especially when it comes to Security. Our Virtual CISOs help to bridge that gap.
Our Training offering includes the following courses:
Staff Awareness – This half-day, interactive cyber security awareness training workshop is suited to non-technical team members within your organisation. Your staff will learn how to protect themselves and your organisation from cyber criminals and other threats, both in the workplace and at home.
Business Owners & Leaders – This 1-day, non-technical cyber security leadership training course is designed to help business owners and leaders understand the key elements of cyber and information security related risks and practical steps required for a comprehensive cyber security strategy appropriate to their business.
Incident Response Planning – This full-day, non-technical workshop is designed to help your staff focused on security understand the key elements of cyber resilience, and the practical steps required for a comprehensive cyber security incident response plan in your business.
Cyber Essentials – This course is aimed at enabling businesses who wish to pursue a Cyber Essentials accreditation. Using internal staff resources to prepare their business for the certification process.
ISO 27001 – This ISO 27001 training course is aimed at helping businesses who are considering pursuing ISO 27001 certification to understand the requirements and preparations required. Armed with a greater understanding of the process, organisations can make an informed decision about whether this is right for them.
IT, Security, Cyber, Technology, Info Sec (Manager, Senior, Director, Head Of, Chief). They will be experienced and have a direct understanding of the importance of Cyber & Information Security for their organisation and sector. These people will not be early in their careers and are most likely going to be qualified in some way.
Keen interest in technology, gadgets, will be keen learners and have the ability to communicate complex topics in a simple manner
They want to be informed and have a need to be up to speed with the latest insights and developments within the technology and cyber sectors
Prospects will be researching their needs online, via business connections, by talking to suppliers & 3rd parties, attending online and physical events, looking for relevant content and who is behind it online
We need to be targeting those with budget responsibility or those who report directly to budget holders and decision makers. Ideally we want to be talking to prospects when they are planning their budgets and not trying to convince them to divert existing budgets. Our minimum budget requirement for direct clients would be c£3,000.
Although Cyber Security is relevant to all businesses our services resonate with those organisations who operate with sensitive data and systems such as Legal, HR, Healthcare, Housing, Finance, Engineering, Technical Services, Professional Services, Communications, Transport
Targeting prospects at the highest level should be our goal, however we know that those in management and delivery roles are most likely to have the understanding of security that we seek
Our clients are challenged by several key things: lack of understanding in the business about the risks, poor awareness amongst all staff levels around how to keep secure, view that security is achieved with technical solutions hence budgets tend to go here, they often operate in small teams or in silos in smaller organisations. Another pain point would often be that they are time poor as they are trying to keep the business running and investing in reviews, training, planning etc can be devalued
Purchasing barriers would be Time, budget, knowledge at the senior level, lack of urgency around the risk, for smaller businesses “we aren’t a target” complacency
