Our Business

Welcome to Capital Electrical Wholesalers – the Electrical Wholesalers uniquely focussing on supplying electrical components and materials to the S.M.E. electrical contractor market.  Operating from two locations in London, we offer trade counter & online ordering facilities to electrical contractors, as well as a delivery service, the business has quickly gained an excellent reputation amongst its core customer base.

Capital Electrical Wholesalers Ltd (“CEW”) was established in 2012 by Marcin & Aneta Wickowski, CEW’s Directors.   Having worked as an electrical contractor in the U.K. for 4 years employing 15 staff, Marcin spotted a gap in the market for a high quality, customer service focussed electrical wholesalers to service the growing S.M.E. sector.

CEW opened its first location in Greenford, West London and quickly established brand traction and a fantastic reputation from electrical contractors locally for product range, availability, convenience, service, and competitive pricing – a combination that has served the business well as it has developed and grown.  In 2016, CEW opened a second location in Richmond, West London, which we franchised in 2020.   As well as the Richmond franchise, we have franchises open in Tottenham, London; Ashton-under-Lyne, Manchester, and franchises in progress in Stoke-on-Trent; Luton; Dunstable; East London amongst others.

The business has grown rapidly with customer service excellence, personal service, technical advice and support and its focus on S.M.E. electrical contractors proving highly successful.

In March 2019, CEW joined the leading industry membership buying group, AWEBB, “The Electrical Network” – www.awebb.org.uk – which is an accolade to the quality service and customer offering that CEW have developed. Importantly, membership of AWEBB involves passing strict, robust criteria and a detailed recruitment process. CEW are also members of the Electrical Distribution Association (“E.D.A.”).

CEW stores have a comprehensive product range in stock for immediate purchase at their trade counters or for same-day delivery.  In addition, CEW can source and supply a massive range of electrical products on a next day service basis.  This ensures that CEW offer a “one stop shop” service to electrical contractors, where often timescales are of upmost importance.

Technology and knowledge of electrical products, services and installations are an important aspect of CEW’s customer offer and a point of differentiation in a competitive marketplace.  CEW offer advice & support to electrical contractors.  This service ensures a loyal customer base who are advocates for the CEW brand which in turn drives sales revenues.

We really do “go the extra mile” for our customers.  We connect with our customers and understand the importance of personal, friendly service and building business relationships for our longer-term mutual benefit.

Whilst we do offer trade accounts on specific credit terms, most of our customers pay for their purchases at the point of collection.  This reduces our risk to bad debt and helps us to be as competitive and efficient as possible.
