Established in 1997, over the last 23 years Curtis Furniture has grown to become one of the largest suppliers of furniture to the UK Hospitality Industry. Our furniture is made in our 60,000 square foot Leeds factory.

Amongst others, Hilton, Holiday Inn & Thistle Hotels have trusted us, our furniture and our service for over a decade.

Our team of 90 dedicated people are all focused on our customers. From our customer services department turning around accurate quotes in industry leading times through our QC procedures and on to our install managers, it’s about the customer.

OPPORTUNITY OVERVIEW

This is a brand new market. We are not selling sneeze screens or sheets of plastic. We are manufacturing and delivering free standing pieces of furniture specifically designed to protect customers and employees.

This is a product that is likely to be required by every company that is looking to re-open its doors to the public. The demand will be driven by two main factors:

  1. In announcing the new 1-metre plus regulations, the Prime Minister specifically talked about the use of screens to ensure the public’s safety
  2. Customers will only be visiting those establishments which they can SEE are taking their safety seriously.

We are realistic… 12 months from now this candle may have burned out, but within that time we don’t see a “brighter sales flame” anywhere in the UK.

Hospitality, Universities, Schools, Casinos, Airports, Salons & Theme Parks

We are happy to look after independent operators, however we are a volume manufacturer and are ideally set up for supporting chains and group operators.

SALES AGENT’S IDEAL PROFILE

This market is big and fast: you will need to be able to dedicate the time to optimise this one-off opportunity. In our first 6 weeks in other sectors, we are already seeing deals of £50k to £150k.

A network of connections in decision making positions within your target sector will be essential.

You will need a proven track record of your current relationships and the type of product that you have sold to them. To be considered you must include information on your current sales activity, your network of connections, and your relevant sales experience.
