Business Development Manager – Social Media Marketing

South Thames Marketing is a small, nimble and award-winning professional services marketing consultancy that helps organisations get more from their marketing.

Last year, despite the challenges of Covid, we increased our revenue by 26 percent.

Now, in conjunction with our partners Colour Me Social we are looking to support our growth in 2021 by recruiting a driven and passionate sales agent to grow and expand our social media services.

Our clients range from big four consulting firms through to independent consultants, but our sweet spot is companies sized up to 100 employees.

Initially you will be targeting businesses in the legal and accounting sectors.

For the right agent, we are offering a rewarding commission of 100% of the 1st month’s revenue of the core package.

South Thames Marketing - Social Media Services

As a result of the current problems faced by businesses due to Covid, professional services firms are cutting costs by reducing the numbers of junior staff in their marketing and administrative functions. These staff members will typically have managed social media marketing activities for the firms. We are winning an increasing amount of work by showing businesses how outsourcing their social media activities is a more cost-effective solution. To continue this growth we are looking for a Business Development Manager to communicate this message to more companies and present our Social Media services.

Our social media offering includes:

The core package of Social Media Management – We manage a firm’s social media marketing in its entirety. From posting a company’s own content and news, typically to LinkedIn and Twitter, sharing curated 3rd party content relevant to clients, and growing social followings.

Plus, optional extras for clients, which gives you the opportunity to increase your total commission.

Optional extras:

  • Blog writing.
  • LinkedIn prospecting.
  • Podcast production.
  • A license to our extensive all-in one, real-time marketing reporting platform.

Our minimum contract term for clients is three months, with a one month notice period thereafter.

In time, the offering could be broadened to wider services that we offer, but our initial focus is on growing our social media clients in the current climate.

The Target Markets

The target markets for sales agents to approach are professional services businesses. The initial focus area for this role will be on Legal and Accounting businesses throughout the UK, sectors that offer excellent opportunities for sales partners in this role.

Ideal Sales Agent Profile

We are looking for a sales professional who has a track record of successful selling in digital marketing and an excellent understanding of the Social Media market and relevant platforms.

You will have a personable approach, strong persuasiveness, and good negotiation skills. Communication skills must be excellent, both written and verbal, and you will have experience of presenting to prospects at all levels.
